Wrap Up

Well April is over… and Summer is officially on its way šŸ™ Haha.. I just cannot stand the heat and I’m dreading it coming in May(which is inevitable, because Toronto gets SOOO hot starting in May). I’ve filled my calendar to the bring in the upcoming months to occupy my time and wait for Fall šŸ˜‰ My boyfriend and I are also moving in the neat future so we are busy hunting for a new house/dwelling… I cannot wait to get out of the city and into the suburbs!! April was kind of a weird month for me… work was exhausting so I just couldn’t get motivated again to read a lot, I’m hoping May will be better because I have a TON to read in May! I also stopped scheduling far in advance and that worked against me. I’ve started to schedule again and I feel much better. If I don’t schedule it affects everything.. I don’t have time to comment or go on twitter because I’m too busy trying to draft the next days post!!

Notable Posts & Events
I took part in the Aberrant tour this month. I absolutely LOVED this dystopian and I cannot wait to continue the series. I highly recommend picking this one up, it’s only available in e-book right now but the paperback is coming in July!

I posted my picks for Top Ten Characters I would crush on if I were a Fictional Character, Ā Top Ten Favorite Books before I was a Blogger,Ā Top Ten Favorite Book Quotes,Ā Top Ten Books I Thought I Would Like More/Less Than I Did.

I participated in 3 book blogger confessions this month, how does blogging affect your real life,Ā my blogging future and hot topics in the blogosphere right now! April had three Monday’s so it was fun to do an extra discussion topic šŸ™‚

I participated in the Phoebe Pope and the Year of Four trailer book blitz, theĀ Alaskan Night book blitz and theĀ Drowning In You book blitz

Among the books I read and reviewed in April I also posted reviews for Dead as a Doornail by Charlaine HarrisĀ and Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins.

Merin and I are still poking along at Scarlet. My excitement for this is definitely not as intense as Cinder. I couldn’t put Cinder down but I haven’t had a problem putting Scarlet down to read other books :S

See.. I told you! April was a quiet month for me!

Post your wrap ups please šŸ˜€

Happy Reading!

  1. We seriously need to finish Scarlet. It’s kind of ridiculous. šŸ˜› Of course, I’m doing TWO read-alongs for May (Clockwork Angel and Black City), and also have my Random Reads pick, so it’s going to be a busy month. And I have LOTS of galleys to get through, so I can have my free month in June. But maybe – just maybe – we can squeeze it in. Of course, the longer we hold off, the shorter our wait for Cress will be, right?

    • Merin, I agree. Should we just hunker down and finish it in a fell swoop? I feel ridiculous at this point about it lol. I have a stupid busy month too… I feel like I won’t get into it the longer I wait :S Vicious cycle haha.

      • I’m thinking yes. I just have so much to read right now! I have to finish In the Shadow of Blackbirds by tomorrow (I’m hoping I can knock the rest of it out during my lunch break) because I need to mail it on to the next person, since it’s a DAC ARC tour book. I also need to read 55 pages of Black City for this week’s goal, plus finish What’s Left of Me so I can turn it back in to the library. But I THINK I can squeeze in Scarlet over the weekend. Maybe do 7 chapters each day, starting on Friday? Some of the chapters are pretty short. Will that work for you?
