Stacking the Shelves
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Hi Everyone 🙂 Happy September!!! I am so excited for the Fall season to begin, I’ve already started to pick out some must have Fall reads and I can’t wait to dive into them. My week wasn’t very eventful at all… it was basically a week of work, gym, home, repeat. Boring I know!

I did pick up a few books over the past couple of weeks, nothing huge BUT I noticed the strangest thing at the Coles that I normally I go to. They are now putting out Young Adult titles a week  in advance! I got The Coldest Girl in Coldtown a week before it came out, and the other day I was in there and they had Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell already on shelves. This bookstore seriously has no rhyme or reason to it’s madness, I go in there on Thursday sometimes and they still don’t have the new releases on the shelves, they are stacked all around the sides of the store in half-opened boxes and then they put up unreleased books on the shelves? And this is why that franchise annoys me sometimes 😛

I am so freaking excited to read Into the Still Blue! It is definitely one of my most anticipated titles for 2014 so I can’t see myself delaying reading that any further than October 😛 I also started reading A Great and Terrible Beauty this week and I am really, really enjoying it. I guess this will be the year I get into historical fiction 😛

What did you get this week? Link up 🙂

    • Oh, I’m glad to hear Coldest was good! I loved the cover and the synopsis sounded so unique I had to pick it up! I was super surprised to see Into the Still Blue out this early on Edelweiss, but I am ECTASTIC! I thought it was going to be a tremendously long wait until January because I’m dying to finish! Thanks for stopping by Pam!!!

OMG!!!! Into the Still Blue!!!!! I requested it, but it’s still pending. How quickly did you hear back? I’m new to Edelweiss, and I’ve had some requests pending for over a month?

    • Oh Melissa 🙁 I’m actually autoapprove for Harper so that’s why I got it so early. Don’t worry about waiting for a month, that happens to me all the time for all the other publishers! I actually just waited for like 2 1/2 months to hear about Red and then it came back declined 😛 Harper and sometimes S&S are the only publishers I have ever had luck with on Edelweiss. I’m sure you will get approved for it though, Harpers is awesome!!!!

    • YAY 🙂 And I loved The Infernal Devices series which is the same time period AND paranormal historical fiction. I’m really liking it so far although I’m not too far in!

    • I starting watching the show not even knowing it was a book so once I found THAT out I needed to pick it up 😛 The tv show is really good, I definitely suggest watching it! Thanks for stopping in Jillyn!

    • OH you are so much better off waiting for the whole set to be released anyway! I wish I had of done that, because it’s sure been a painful wait for book 3!! Thanks for stopping in Pabkins 🙂
