Stacking the Shelves
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Hi! I know I was terribly absent (and even more so than I expected to be) the past two weeks but now I am 100% back 🙂 My mother has went back home, we had a very fun visit and now I’m spending this week relaxing, blogging and reading. We shopped for two full days and I was exhausted but it was quite fun, and I surprisingly picked up a lot of great things. I hate shopping, HATE it so I almost never go and I usually wait until I need a ton of stuff; I’m definitely not one of those people who just goes to the mall to browse! I got a bit of Christmas shopping done, the rest will be the next weekend with Nick so that is going to be a whole other experience 😛

I just did a stacking the shelves last week but I decided to do one again because I did get a few more books this past week, and also because this will be my last one before Christmas. I also wanted to give a little update to say I’m definitely back from my mini vacation now! I have over 1300 blog posts to catch up on in my Feedly so I will be whittling that down for the better part of the day 😛

Now, onto the books…

Hereafter by Kate Brian

Fabulicious: On The Grill by Teresa Giudice
*Purchased at World’s Biggest Bookstore

I finally got Hereafter 🙂 I’ve been waiting for this for so long! The World’s Biggest Bookstore always has every book I can’t find elsewhere. I was supposed to be picking up books for others but when I seen this I couldn’t resist! I also picked up Teresa Giudice’s newest cookbook, because I also couldn’t find it anywhere else. I love her cookbooks, and although I will probably use this the least out of the four, I still wanted to add it to the collection.

EbooksNone this week!!

For RevewDon't You Forget About Me  After the End  Don't Call Me Baby  The Murder Complex

Don’t Call Me Baby by Gwendolyn Heasley

The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings
*Greenwillow books via Edelweiss

I LOVED Another Little Piece of My Heart, it was one of my favorite debuts of the year so I just cannot wait to dive into Kate Karyus Quinn’s second book. I hope it’s just as strange and unique as the first one! I also picked up After the End by Amy Plum, which I am really excited about. It immediately peaked my interest from the second the cover was revealed! Don’t Call Me Baby was a total random pick. I hadn’t heard of this book, and contemporary is not my go to genre but this one sounds like a unique storyline so I am looking forward to checking it out! THE MURDER COMPLEX! I have been following Lindsay Cummings on Instagram for a while so I am so excited that her book was available on Edelweiss! I can’t wait to get to this one 🙂

    • Grace, there definitely were so many great books available! I loved Another Little Piece so I am sure that her second book will be fantastic as well. After The End will by my first Amy Plum book, so I’m excited about that! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. It seems like everyone got Don’t Call Me Baby and I hadn’t even heard about it until today! I’m definitely adding it on my TBR list because it looks awesome! I hope you enjoy all you got 🙂

    Here’s my STS!

    • I hadn’t even heard about it either prior to this week Jessica!! It sounds really unique and a different twist to the regular contemporary themes so I think it should be good! My favorite part about stacking the shelves is adding new books to my tbr, lol… although I’m sure my bookshelves don’t thank me for it 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!!

  2. I got all four of those review books as well! I may have gone on a downloading frenzy on Edelweiss the other day. So many good books got added! I couldn’t resist! Glad you’re back! We missed you!

Also, you hate shopping????? *dies* I am a shopaholic. I’m the kind of person that can go to the mall every single day and just browse and try on ridiculous amounts of clothing. I went shopping the other day for Christmas presents, was at the mall for like 5 hours. I ended up buying no Christmas presents, but did buy myself two things. Fail. Lol.

    • Thanks Rebecca 🙂 I miss you too!!!

Ohemgee… Edelweiss was awesome this week 🙂 I actually went and got another two that I seemed to have missed in the frenzy but I seen them on everyone’s hauls this weekend (Wicked Games & Vivine Divine is dead)… figures lol.

I do hate shopping 🙁 I love clothes and makeup but I’m more of an online shopper. I have a ridiculous hard time finding anything that I like, and the malls in Toronto are OUTRAGEOUSLY busy all the time, that I just lose patience. I did pick up a lot of things though… and I went for Christmas presents haha. I guess we don’t differ there 😛 When I go with my mom, I seem to like it more because she has a ton of patience and is never annoyed so she seems to find a lot more things for me than I do!!! I wish I was like you, because I love clothes and fashion but just don’t have the will for the mall 😛

  3. Woohoo! I also got those books on your “For Your Review” haul. I seriously cannot wait to jump into The Murder Complex! The caption “The murder rate is higher than the birthrate” is just SUPER intriguing! Like, how is that possible!? I also want to read After the End. Ugh, the cover and title are intriguing as well. So many books maaaaaaan.<333 Happy reading!

    • So many people got these books Leigh, it’s awesome that Edelweiss is so available, especially for people that can’t get print ARCs!!! The Murder Complex does sound amazing, completely agree! I’ve been following her on Instagram for a while now so I’ve really been waiting for this book 🙂 I hope you enjoy it too!! Thanks so much for stopping in 😀

    • I agree Pamela, it’s the best feeling 🙂 I live in a huge city, with a ton of bookstores so it’s not like I DONT have access it’s just they are always at the bookstores that are much harder/time consuming for me to get too 😛 Thanks for stopping by!!

  4. What a beautiful Stacking The Shelves Banner! I LOVED Hereafter and I hope you do too! I am really looking forward to The Murder Complex! Happy Reading!

    • Thank you Nicole! I actually made it using Picmonkey! They have all their winter & Christmas themed tools on there now and they are great this year 🙂 I cannot WAIT to pick up Hereafter… I probably will next weekend. I adored Shadowlands, and that ENDING.. I just need it 🙂 Thanks for stopping in!!

    • Agreed Mel, I have high hopes for them too! I can’t wait to see how they turn out!! I’m trying to delay the Kate Quinn one until at least the new year because I have some others to get to first, but it’s SO tempting!! Thanks so much for commenting & visiting 🙂

    • I hope HOPE you like it Melissa! I thought her writing style was beautiful… it’s very unique! I can’t wait to see what you think of it when you get to it 🙂 I agree about the cover… it’s beautifuL!!!! Thanks for visiting again doll <3

    • So many of us got After the End!! It was so surprising that it was up there, I needed to snatch it up!! I hope you enjoy it also 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Laura!!

  5. Great haul! We have a few in common this week – The Murder Complex and After The End, very excited to read both. I’ve just downloaded Don’t You Forget About Me, that one looks really great and also makes me think of The Breakfast Club. I hope you enjoy them all 🙂 My STS.

  6. I’m so glad you got some good books this week and your trip went well! I actually have to be in mood to go shopping but during Christmas gets so crazy, I’d rather buy everything online lol Hope you enjoy all of these and thank you for stopping by my blog!

  7. Hi there, Lauren!

Very nice! I see that you’ve also been whitelisted by HP. They’re so generous aren’t they?

I just downloaded The Murder Complex yesterday because I just love premise. I’m a fan of the movie Hanna so I’m sure I am going to love the book.

And hey thanks for giving me a ping weeks ago. Most appreciated
