Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Happy Weekend 🙂 And I am more happy for this weekend than I have been in a LOONGGGG time. I had most certainly, one of the worst weeks at work in history, so I couldn’t wait to get home last night and relax. I did start Yoga again last night though and it felt wonderful. I hadn’t been to class since my Christmas holidays and I really needed it. I forgot how much I enjoyed the class atmosphere of Yoga, and I do go with a friend as well so it’s always a fun evening. We had another huge snowstorm on Wednesday and it was fabulous! We have SO much snow now and I love looking out my windows 😛 I am hoping to get out today and take a few pictures if the cold is not too terrible later.

I got quite a few great books since last post… a few random ones, but exciting none the less! AND, I think I’m finally getting my reading groove back which makes me very excited!

Cress  Dark Lover
Cress by Marissa Meyer
*Purchased at Indigo Spirit
Dark Lover by J.R. Ward
*Purchased at Indigo Spirit

For some strange reason, I completely forgot that Cress was releasing this week until last Sunday! I was overjoyed to get my hands on this… the cover is BEAUTIFUL in person and it’s such a huge book! I won’t be able to start it for another week or so probably, but I needed to grab it immediately. I also had a sudden craving to start the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. So many of my favorite bloggers and friends have said this series is to DIE for… I haven’t read an adult paranormal romance in SO long, and Sunday I was having a strange book moment where I ONLY wanted to read PR, I had to pick it up. And let me tell you… I’m nowhere near close to even half done and it’s AMAZING!!! <3

 Ebooks
Sweet  Annie and Fia
Sweet by Erin McCarthy
*Borrowed from the library
Annie and Fia by Kiersten White
*Free on Kindle

Last post I had gotten Believe which is the third book in the True Believers series but I still hadn’t read Sweet yet. My hold FINALLY came in at the library so I’m pumped! I loved True a lot and I cannot wait to continue this series.  I seen Annie and Fia was free on Kindle so I definitely had to get it. I’m just about to start Perfect Lies so it’s perfect!

On the Fence  Renegade
On the Fence by Kasie West
*From HarperTeen via Edelweiss
Renegade by Debra Driza
*From Katherine Tegan via Edelweiss

I have been trying to ease off on the eARCs as much as I can but I could NOT pass these two up. On the Fence is well KASIE WEST! So… hello! It had to happen. And I really, really enjoyed Mila 2.0 so I couldn’t pass up Renegade either. I can’t wait to get to these two and I might just push On the Fence a bit up the list… *cough*.

What have you picked up the past couple of days? Have you read any of these books? BDB??!?!?!? Link up!!!!

  1. Cress is excellent! There’s soooo much Thorne, and Cinder is flawless as always. I only wish there was more Scarlet. I have had Dark Lover on my shelf for the longest time, but I still haven’t read it. I sometimes get urges, and then I remind myself that I have hundreds of other books to read. Maybe this year will be the year. AND I GOT ON THE FENCE TOO! *dances*

    • YES! I’m glad there is a ton of Thorne, and *gasps* I’m kind of glad there is less Scarlet. I don’t know why but for some reason, Scarlet was not as much of a favorite for me as Cinder. I can’t wait for this though because I have literally seen NOTHING bad about it!!! Ooooh seriously, give into the Dark Lover urges. I had to start the second today, the series is SOOOO SOOOO good! I’m addicted!!! YAY FOR ON THE FENCE!!!! Kasie West is fabulous. Just fabulous!!!

    • Oh snap, that sucks 🙁 I’m actually not reading it right now and I have decided I might delay it as long as possible. It’s just too long for Winter!! I’m back and forth… we will see next week 😛 lol.

  2. I saw On the Fence too and I’m trying so hard to hold out and knock some of my review books out before I download it but I’m not sure how much longer I can hold out, haha.

    • I finished Dark Lover and you are right, very good! I’ve already started on the second!!! I’m trying to delay Cress a bit because it’s just too long a wait for Winter 😛 I won’t be able to hold off for very long though I’m sure!!!!

  3. Have you started Cress yet??? I just finished and omg it was so amazing. Just as good as everyone had been saying. And I am trying to ease off the eARCs as well, but now you’re tempting me with that Kasie West one…*must resist*

    • NOOO!! I haven’t, I’m freaking hooked on the BDB. Gosh. Seriously, you should read this series… it’s ADDICTIVE. I’m just scared that I am going to read the entire 11 books in one go and be SOOO behind lol. You shouldn’t resist Kasie West 😛 I have a little rule for myself because I knew I can’t avoid all of them, so if it’s an author I love or a series or on a highly anticipated list then I will get it. Oh wait… so that means everything… ok I am trying hhahaha.

  4. I had pre-ordered Annie and Fia when I found the release data. I do like that is was free.
On the Fence is on my wish list and I am really looking froward to that. I haven’t Edelweiss yet. I am on Net Galley. I joined in 2011, but just loaded my profile info today and requested some books, so I’ll have to wait and see. I can see how it can be very dangerous, though, since the books are supposed to be reviewed.
    Enjoy your stash!

    • It’s incredibly dangerous! Edelweiss even more so though because all of the Harper titles and most Harlequin Teen titles are on there :/ It’s so fun though to get the advanced books, and since I don’t get physical arcs this is nice. Just make sure you review them and it will keep your ratio good! That feature wasn’t on there when most of us joined NG (it’s only a few months old) so when we all went crazy, it now counts. I’m trying to get mine back up to a normal level now so that is definitely my piece of advice! I hope you get your approvals!!! Thanks for stopping by Tammy!!!

  5. I hope you enjoy Cress! I still need to read Scarlet. I’ve heard nonstop raving on the Black Dagger Brotherhood series as well, especially on the booktube community. I’ve heard nothing but positive reviews on it so far. I’ll check it out some day because it is an adult book and I don’t think I’m ready to read adult books yet. I also got On the Fence and Renegade. 🙂 Enjoy!

    • Scarlet is good! I did love Cinder better but I was the odd one out on that account. YES, honestly, all of the raves are true. I only started Dark Lover last week… I finished it and I just started the second immediately It’s super, super addictive but your right it is adult, and i’d say 18+ for sure but when you are ready to read one, they are definitely my recommendation!!! YAYYY!! So many people got these eARCs, we should all do a giant readalong lol. I hope you enjoy your books too Leigh!!!

    • Mila 2.0 (the first book) is really good!! It’s about androids also so since you like Cinder maybe you’d like that one 😛 I’m glad you loved Cress, I honestly haven’t heard a SINGLE bad thing about it!!!

    • I definitely agree Molly! It is SOOOO good! My BF actually went out to do some errands today and came home with the second book and insiders guide for me <3 So there goes my reading list for the week 😛

    • Mila 2.0 was really good! I really liked it because it was sci fi but set in our current world so really easy to “relate” to you! Thanks for stopping by!!!

    • Thanks Kristin! I think one of the reasons I am so in to it is because I really needed somethng different. It’s been ages since I read an adult PR so it really did the trick with me. I love them so much so far 🙂
