Stacking the Shelves
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Happy Saturday 🙂  This week was a rough one, but luckily it went by fairly quickly. My entire work place is just over come with sickness, everyone has a head cold and as much as I have tried to avoid it I ended up getting sick in the middle of the week. Ugh. I am feeling slightly better now but this weekend will be a major rest and relaxation type of weekend. On the plus side, I will get a lot of reading done I suspect 🙂 How was everyone else’s week?

I got a TON of books this week … holy smokes. A lot of library requests came through plus I got quite a few review copies! Lots of good reading ahead 🙂

I didn’t get a chance to read Lies You Wanted to Hear last time I checked it out so I got it again, I really want to read this one and it’s on my reading list for the weekend. Split Second I was 50% through and my e-book expired so I had to be on the hold list again, shucks. I finally got it though and it’s another I will be reading this weekend 🙂 Red at Night I had preordered but forgot about so it was a fun surprise when I got the email this week! Half Bad and Nearly Gone I was SOOO excited for my holds to come through! I have wanted to read both of those since I discovered them so WOO!

  1. Wonderful books, Lauren! I haven’t gotten anything recently but I bought The blue-Haired Boy before and cannot wait to read it since I super loved Faking Normal. I also really adored Split Second- I hope you do too! I’m super excited about Red At Night and Boomerang so I can’t wait to see what you think of them. 🙂

    • I really loved Faking Normal as well, it was such a nice surprise! I was pumped to find out that Boomerang is actually written by veronica rossi (with her pen name). I actually wasn’t THAT interested in it (well i liked it but would have waited till release) and then seen that and I could NOT hold back lol.

  2. that’s a really epic book haul! I also got some HarperTeen books this week. I’m currently not in the mood in buying books (lol finally) but my birthday is on the 27th and for sure I’m gonna buy like a dozen haha.

    • Yes 🙂 Birthday book hauls are the best! I have been able to restrain myself with purchasing as well, but mostly because of the amazing review books that have been available lately haha.

  3. Fi

Great haul of books, I got Nearly Gone this week too and can’t wait to read it! Lots of fantastic review titles there too, I was looking at some of them on Edelweiss but have managed to resist downloading them so far. Enjoy your new books and happy reading 🙂

  4. Edelweiss downloads are the best and worst at the same time, haha. The dark world & Feral look very good. I also have The dark world and I can’t wait to get started, demons 😀 A lot of people seemed to like Half bad and I always like books about witches, so I want to give it a shot soon. Happy reading! 🙂

    • BAHAA, so true Mel… so freaking true.

YES, demons!! It instantly attracted me! I have heard mixed things about Half bad, but because it was one of my most anticipated books I am going to still read it and hope that I love it 🙂 I love witches too!!!

  5. I got Rites of Passage too! I couldn’t pass it up. The Dolls has a creepy cover, I’m not sure if I like it. *backs away slowly* I managed to restrain myself (mostly) on EW this time. This. Time.

    • Lol… this time! It’s so hard isn’t… gosh, as much as I like being auto approved for HC, it’s honestly makes the decision far too easy! Oh, the “problems” that we all have right? lol. The Dolls has SUCH a creepy cover, but for some reason i couldn’t resist it haah.

  6. What an amazing haul! So many of those books are on my TBR list. 🙂 I finished Half Bad just few days ago and I adored it, I hope you do too! Enjoy your goodies and have a great weekend! 🙂

    • YES! Glad to see that you liked Half Bad, I’m SOOO excited for it but I have a few others to read before then because it expires the furthest away 😛

  7. Rites of Passage and Darkworld both sound super intriguing… And I mean, that cover for Darkworld – SO GORGEOUS.
I hope you enjoy all of these and have a great weekend 🙂

  8. Great haul! I loved Split Second and Red at Night! And I really want to read Half Bad and Nearly Gone! I hope you enjoy all of your new books 🙂
