Stacking the Shelves
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Happy weekend everyone 🙂 I hadn’t planned on doing a stacking the shelves but I got a ton of mail this week! I mentioned last week, I had one the “blue” portion of the YA Scavenger Hunt a couple of weeks ago and I started to get a lot of the books this week! I am really excited to read a ton of these, some of them were on my TBR already but others I hadn’t heard of before YASH so I am so happy to discover more new reads!!

Despite this being a short week, it was SO hectic at work! This weekend will not be too quiet either as I really have to get a good portion of packing done. We are moving very soon and I am so excited 🙂

Anyhow onto the books…

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea and The Art of Lainey were on my TBR already so I was definitely excited to get these two. I will be reading The Art of Lainey in the near future and I cannot wait to start, I have heard nothing but excellent thing about it! The Other Way Around sounds phenomenal, it’s a road trip/self discovery book so it’s a perfect summer read! The obvious Game sounds very intriguing. The synopsis doesn’t give away a lot of details, so that alone has me very interested. No Place to Fall is another great summer read… my TBR for summer is steadily increasing!

Alpha Goddess sounds AMAZING! And the cover, ohemgee! I loveeee mythology lately so just… *grabby hands*. Eternal Starling is another series that I have no idea how I hadn’t discovered it sooner! The Fire Horse Girl is a historical fiction and has a very intriguing premise. I don’t read a lot of books that take place in other parts of the world, with the exception of some ‘popular’ parts of Europe, so this will be fascinating to read!

Welcome Caller, This is Chloe has phenomenal reviews! I love the idea of a teen radio show host, and it’s something that’s different to the YA genre. I thought it was going to be a cute, fun type of book based on the cover but it seems like it tackles some tough issues at well, very interested!

Gated and Tabula Rasa are both dystopians that will probably read very, very soon. As I’ve mentioned I am sick to death of this genre but these both have very unique premises it seems so YAY!

Thank you so much to all the authors that sent me these books and all the lovely swag and bookmarks included <3 I cannot wait to get started!!

I never really looked into Rachel Harris’ books previously, because I wasn’t too into historical fiction. Now that I cannot get enough of it, I cannot wait to read her series! I was so excited to receive these three books from her in the scavenger hunt, thank you so much Rachel!! I have said a few times recently as well that Amish fiction is another favorite of mine, so I spotted Courting Cate free on Kindle and couldn’t resist picking it up!

Legacy
Night School: Legacy by C.J. Daughtery
*From Bookouture via Netgalley

I had read Night School last year and I’m really intrigued to see where the story goes. I had spent nearly the entire book thinking it was a paranormal read, so now that I know otherwise I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next!

audiobooks
None this week!!

Have you read any of these books? What did you think? Which ones should I pick up first? And please don’t forget to link up your hauls too 🙂

  1. Awesome books this week! There are many that are new to me, so I am def checking them out!

I loved Gated! I’ve read mixed reviews on Between the Devil and Deep Blue Sea, so I haven’t read that one yet!

  2. Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea is…well, crazy. I’ll say that. It’s a weird one, that’s for sure. I don’t know if I enjoyed it or if it just gave me the creeps. But, SO excited for No Place to Fall (reminds me of Let’s Get Lost), hope you enjoy it! 🙂
