Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Weekend: You are here 🙂 I hope everyone had a fabulous week! My highlight this week was finally getting to read the much-anticipated Requiem. Gah. I booked the entire day off at work, because I’m crazy like that and I was ELATED to finally have that baby in my hands first thing Tuesday morning. I was so apprehensive once I finally had it because I knew it was the end… and what if I hated it? What would that do to my FAVORITE series in my eyes?! Needless to say I read it in one sitting, and ended up loving it(but not as much as the first two… see my review here). Did anyone pick up Requiem this week? Was it what you expected? I’ve loved reading all the mixed reviews on Requiem so please link yours up !!  I went absolutely crazy with ebooks… honestly, there is just no explanation, rhyme or reason for it anymore… and the sad part is I hardly like ebooks, but the sales. Oh the sales.

For Review

Escape Theory  Insomnia

All of my ebooks, with the exception of Raven(stupid prices for these novellas that I just HAVE to have), were on sale so I snatched them up. I know I probably won’t read half of these books in the next year but they are all on my TBR and what’s the point of picking them up at 10-20 dollars in a physical copy/regular priced e-book when they are on sale NOW, lol. I also slowed down quite a bit with requesting new review books… and I hope to continue that next week. Both of my review books I received I am super excited to read though… especially Insomnia. That cover gives me the willies…

What did you get this week? Please be sure to leave your posts at the bottom so I can check them out 🙂

Happy Reading,
xo Lauren

I haven’t picked up Requiem, but my sister in law will likely be buying it for me for my birthday :). I’m kinda nervous to read it though, due to all the mixed reviews!

I really liked Statistical Probability. I think I read it in almost one siting, so I hope that you like it too. NAND Shatter Me is good too!!!

    • I was really, really nervous as well but I was pleased 🙂 I can’t wait to see what you think of it!

I absolutely love the cover for Statistical and I’ve heard so many great things about it!

Thanks for stopping by Melissa! I hope all is well with you, baby & hubby!!

  2. I picked up a novella this week, too, to tide me over until book two is released next month. Would you believe I still haven’t read Delirium? I do have it – so that’s the first step, right? – and I plan on reading it this year as part of my TBR Pile Challenge list, so we’ll see what I think of it.

Happy reading, Lauren! Are we still on for starting Scarlet on Monday?

    • I cannot wait for you to read Delirium. I cannot sing it enough praises, but I’m so biased because it’s my favorite series 😛

We are absolutely starting Scarlet on Monday! I’m soooo excited 😀

  3. My library is in the process of acquiring Requiem, and there’s already a waiting list. I have my fingers crossed that they add some more copies because I’m dying to read it, though I’m a bit nervous about how it’s going to end. I hope you enjoy all of your new eBooks!

  4. Eep! I’ve heard so many mixed reviews on Requiem too and I can’t wait to get my hands on it next week and see what I’ll think of it.
And ohh, you got Shatter Me and Insomnia! Can’t wait to see what you think about it.
Happy reading & thanks for stopping by my STS! (:

    • I really can’t wait to pick up Shatter Me… I’ve heard awesome awesome things but then a blogger friend of mine said she HATED it, so I’m really interested to see where I’ll fall on that one. SQUEEEEEEEE… Signed Requiem… holy smokes, my dream. I hope you enjoy it 🙂

      Thanks for stopping in!

    • OH Margie I feel the same way! It was so freakin perfect that last paragraph. Gosh…. Lauren Oliver is just so good with words <3 Raven devastated me... oh what a mess, lol.

Your very welcome(about your pup). She's a gorgeous little one and I wish her a speedy recovery 🙂

      Thanks for stopping in Margie!!

    • I can’t wait to read Insomnia… I’ve been trying my best to read my review books in order because sometimes I get excited and just to one that’s not released till 5 months and my next week reviews get pushed aside :S It’s really tempting me though, lol.

Thanks so much for stopping in Kim!

  5. Ooh nice haul! I’m glad you enjoyed Requiem, it’s a pity you didn’t enjoy it as much as the first two books. I STILL haven’t read the Delirium trilogy, so I must soon 😛

I know what you mean about ebook sales, the Kindle Deals are the best in my eyes! I’ve gotten some amazing books on there for only $1.99!

    Enjoy your new books!

    • I honestly expected to hate it based on the reviews so to come out with even 4 stars I was elated 🙂

The Kindle Deals are AMAZING! It seems silly to everyone that I’m buying loads of books, but if they are on my TBR and I’m going to buy it for 15 dollars more by the time I get to it… why not get it now? I have a million GBs of space on this tablet to fill 😛 lol

      Thanks for stopping in Kyra!
