Stacking the Shelves
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Happy Saturday!! I hope everyone had a lovely week for the start of May. My week surprisingly flew by… yesterday I couldn’t believe it was Friday already!  I didn’t get a lot of book this weeks, thankfully andddd… I’m having a “galley ban” until June. I just have WAY too many review books so I am not going onto Netgalley or Edelweiss until June! It’s getting out of control! I have a lot of reading to do this week so I’m going to be relaxing and also I want to get quite a few posts scheduled so I won’t be panicking as much and feel like I have NO time 😛  What does everyone have planned for this weekend?

Physical Books
Walking Disaster  The Program
Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire
*Purchased at Coles
The Program by Suzanne Young
*Purchased at Indigo Spirit

Ebooks
What I Didn't Say - Review: What I Didn't Say by Keary Taylor
What I Didn’t Say by Keary Taylor
*Free on Kindle

For Revew
The Chaos of Stars  Faking It
The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White
*From HarperCollins via Edelweiss
Faking It by Cora Carmack
*From William Morrow via Edelweiss

I am absolutely over the moon for all of these books!! I loved Beautiful Disaster and I finished last weekend when there was a major power outage in my area so I cannot wait to crack open Walking Disaster. I have heard a ton of mixed reviews on it, but that was also the same for the first book and I loved it! And ahhh… The Program.  This book is SO beautiful inside the dust jacket! I’m pumped to read this one.. it was one of my most anticipated for the year. I died when I seen that What I Didn’t Say was free on Kindle. I read this as a review copy last year and adored it so I had to pick it up! The Chaos of Stars and Faking It… I am SO EXCITED! I loved Losing It… so much and The Chaos of Stars sounds awesome and i’m hoping it’s going to be a win for me(more so than Mind Games :S).

What did everyone get this week? Link up please 😀

Some Blog Love
There were a ton of great posts again this week! I am rather behind on my reader (oops…) so this weekend I will be clearing it out to start fresh for next week. I have like 700 unread posts!

  • Kristilyn over at Reading In Winter posted a fabulous post on “What It Takes To Be a Blogger(And Why It’s Not As Easy As It Looks)“. It’s soooo true.
  • Blythe at Finding Bliss in Books wanted to talk about swearing and the passion behind it. I ADORED this discussion!
  • I’ve mentioned a ton of times lately that I love Unlikable female characters… snarky, bitchy, snobby… the works. Kelly at Stacked has an incredible list of Unlikeable Female Characters in YA! I will definitely be adding a lot of those to my TBR!
  • Jamie(Perpetual Page Turner) had an amazing post on why she gets self conscious sometimes. I absolutely loved this… and I feel the same way!
  • Hannah had an awesome post about the other side of New Adult. The guys side…;; obviously I’m so for reading the guys POV lol.
  • Gaby’s Friday Coffee Clutch are probably some of my most anticipated posts every week! I LOVE her discussions and topics… this week she has a second part of what she is guilty of doing. I’m sure a lot of us have those same quirks 😛
  • Heather has an AMAZING post on her love of secondary characters. With lists!(And we all know how much I love lists…)
  • Anddd… last but certainly not LEAST… It is Cassie’s 1st blogoversary!!!!! She has a beautiful post that includes mini guest posts from bloggers and authors about why they love blogging…and a giveaway!! Happy Blogoversary Cassie <3

And that ends it off for the week! Please link up your stacking the shelves and any awesome posts that I need to leave 😀

Happy Reading!
xo Lauren

  1. I picked up The Chaos of Stars several weeks ago. I’ve already heard some not-so-great things about, so now I’m worried I won’t like it as much as I’m hoping to! I’ve actually never read a book by Kiersten White, so this will be my first.

    Happy reading, Lauren!

    My StS post 🙂

    • Oh poo… I read Mind Games and I was pumped for that I didn’t really like it so I’m HOPING I enjoy The Chaos of Stars!

  2. The Program!! YES! Freaking loved that book! And I hope you like The Chaos of Stars. I honestly wasn’t crazy about it… *cries* I really hope you like it though!

    • I cannot wait to start the Program! I think I’m going to read it during Bout of Books because that’s the only time I can squeeze it in I think(so sad…). Oh no… I hope I do like it… Kiersten White has been disappointing me 🙁 Thanks for stopping in AShley!

  3. Ooh, love your blog, love these polka dots, so cute!

I see you have the Program, I can’t wait to get my hands on that one! Looks so good.
