Top Ten Tuesday

I love books that have travelling in them. When I settled down to go through my books to pick the choices I thought I would be struggling to come up with ten, little did I know I would be struggling to narrow it down to ten! I cheated a bit because most of my picks include the entire series they came from, I just couldn’t narrow it down to one specific book from a series. Here’s what I finally came up with:

Harry Potter  A Discovery of Witches  Review: Delirium by Lauren Oliver  City of Bones by Cassandra Clare  Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
*I somehow manage to fit Harry into every category!
All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness
*Diana & Matthew travel everywhere in this series, including back in time!
Delirium Trilogy by Lauren Oliver
*Lena & friends travel across futuristic New England
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
*I love when they travel to Idris. I wish I lived there!
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
*I loved when Rose travelled to Russia to “kill” Dimitri!

Code Name Verify  undertheneversky  Dash & Lily's Book of Dares  Shadowlands  Hex Hall
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
*Julia & Maddie travel to France… disastrous and heartbreaking.
Under the Never Sky series by Veronica Rossi
*Aria & Perry travel so far in this series.. and I can’t wait till the third book!
Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Leviathan
*Dash & Lily travel all over New York in their fun scavenger hunt
Shadowlands by Kate Brian
*The scariest part in this book was when the family travelled to the island… EEPS!
Hex Hall trilogy by Rachel Hawkins
*From the US to England and back again… I loved everything!!!

And those are my faves folks 🙂 What did you pick for your favorite travel books? Link up!!!

Happy Reading!

  1. Sadly I have read none of the books on your list but I want to! I love reading books set in other countries. I guess the most recent book I enjoyed that involved actual traveling is The Geography of Bliss:one grumps search for the happiest places in the world. Other favorites of mine are Book Thief, Secret Daughter and the World We Found which is more books set in other countries.

  2. I love your choices! I don’t know why I didn’t think of any of these. My list makes me laugh because I was having such a difficult time coming up with books. I did have Shadowlands on mine, though. That was one of the ones that was totally stretching it, but I don’t feel as bad since we both have it haha.

  3. Love this list!! You’ve featured some of my favourite books of ALL TIME. I’ve read Delirium, Under The Never Sky and Dash & Lily, though I wouldn’t have thought of them as “travel books” at first instinct. Now that I think of it… The whole running-about parts of these books really are the most exciting!! I’ve always wanted to read City of Bones and Code Name Verity, will have to bump them up the TBR soon 🙂 AND, who can blame you for featuring Harry Potter on every list? xD

  4. A Discovery of Witches is one of my all-time favorites! I put Shadow of Night on my top ten list. I’ve also read City of Bones and of course Harry Potter.
