Top Ten Tuesday

Wow, I had a lot of fun going through my books to figure this out and it’s clear who some of my favorite authors are by the amount of books I own from them 😛 I also had to include 11 because I was at a tie …

 Sophie Kinsella
I freaking love this lady and everything she writes.  I have consumed nearly every one of her books in one sitting because her characters are so lovable, and fun and quirky. I will continue to buy everything for years and years to come.

Lisa Scottoline
I don’t see Lisa Scottoline mentioned on many blogs and it’s a shame. She is a wonderful writer and her stories pull on your heartstrings but with some intrigue as well. I plan on buying all of her books to come as well!

Lauren Oliver
I own a lot of Lauren Oliver’s books and I used to think she was one of my favorite authors but I have recently realized that I liked one of her books wholeheartedly and the rest have fallen by the wayside/not thrilled me since. Sadly.

Richelle Mead
Well I love Vampire Academy and that’s all I have to say about that. I also plan on reading her adult series sometime in my life haha.

Cassandra Clare
I really like the Mortal Instruments but the Infernal Devices is by far one of my favorite series ever. I love this world and I will probably continue to buy all of her books in the future as well.

Nora Roberts
I own two full series from Nora Roberts and I love them entirely. Her books are romantic and feel good and I love to reread them if I’m feeling a bit, “Meh”.

Charlaine Harris
I know there are a lot of mixed thoughts about the Sookie Stackhouse series but I really, really enjoy it and hope to finish it in the near future!

Colleen Hoover
Well she’s an autobuy author so this is a given 😛 I adore ALL OF THE BOOKS! LOVEEEEEE. Oh wait, I just realized that this should actually be 7, not 6!! I won Finding Cinderella too.. *doh*.

Katie McGarry
LOVE this lady and all of her writing. Enough said here 😛

Lauren Conrad
Don’t. Judge. Me. lol. I loved the L.A. Candy series… the Fame Game not so much and I probably won’t continue it but I also adore her Style and Beauty books. She’s just beautiful, and talented and I have followed her since her Laguna Beach days!!!

J.L. Bryan
LLOOOOOVEEE J.L. Bryan’s books and I hope to own them all soon. He has a vast writing style across several genres and I lap up his stories.

Who are your most owned authors??? Do you like any of these authors mentioned?? Link up!!!

    • OMG yes it was so good 🙂 I’m so glad someone else loved it as well!!! I love Cassandra Clare, I know there is a lot of negative things about her series but I am addicted 😛 Thanks for following!!!

  1. +JMJ+

I thought about giving the Shopaholic books a try last year, when I was contemplating diving into Chick Lit. I’m still not sure why I never pursued that impulse . . .

I’ve only read Nora Roberts’ novels which she wrote as J.D. Robb, and they weren’t really my cup of tea. What else would you recommend by her?

    • Sophie Kinsella is definitely the best author to get your feet wet with Chick Lit .. her books are so fun!

I haven’t read Nora Roberts’ as J.D. RObb so I can’t compare but her Bride Quartet series and Inn Boonsboro Trilogy are fantastic if you like romance!!

  2. This is the first list I have seen Lauren Conrad on, but to be honest, I have heard quite a few great things about her books! I personally haven’t read any, but I definitely wouldn’t mind reading some of them in the future. I am going to have to check out a few of the authors you listed, as I don’t know a whole lot about a few of them.

    Here is my TTT

    • Her books are light and fun, I definitely recommend the L.A. Candy series!!! It was one of my favorite series for awhile and I actually read it before I started reading YA. I oonly grabbed it because I like her so much 🙂

  3. JL Bryan is amazing and I need to read the rest of his books since I’ve only read the one. I also like Katie’s books and Lauren Oliver just really pissed me off with the ending of the Delirium series so I don’t know what to think anymore with her books because book two in that series was one of my favorites in the year I read it.
    Great list

    • I didn’t dislike Requiem but it certainly didn’t live up to my expectations, it used to be one of my favorite series but it definitely isn’t because of the ending 🙁 I totally agree, you really need to read more JL Bryan. Nomad and The Unseen are SOOOO good, I highly recommend them but The Unseen is CREEEEPy lol.

  4. You’re right, I have never heard of this Lisa Scottoline. I guess I should look her up to see what I’m missing out on! I also sort of agree about Lauren Oliver… I LOVED Delirium and Liesl & Po, but it’s been a few years that any of hers have become favourites of mine. But I will always love her writing style at least!

    • You definitely should look her up Aylee 🙂 Although, I think you like a lot of fantasy right? She is mostly contemporary, but if you do like contemporary as well I highly recommend her for adult titles 🙂 I really want to read Liesl & Po, it just looks so cute plus I would like to just have it for my collection!! I absolutely agree about her writing style though, it’s beauttttiifffuuul!

  5. I really love Sophie Kinsella as well! I only own The Undomestic Goddess but I think I need to get a boxed set of the Shopaholic series because I loved them! I haven’t read any of her Madeleine Wickham books though. I saw a few at Costco and was thinking of getting them but hmm, I don’t know if I’ll like them. They definitely sound a bit different from her work as Sophie Kinsella.

And oh my gosh, the L.A. Candy series were my favourite a few years ago! I seriously went through them like crazy. I haven’t read any from the Fame Game but the L.A. Candy series, man. Those were the bomb. So there’s definitely no judgement here haha! I love Lauren Conrad and just think she’s like the sweetest and cutest person ever. I follow her website as well.

    • The Madeleine wickham books are definitely a bit different than her Sophie books but they are still good. Actually I forgot they were a bit different until you said that lol.

YES! I’m so happy that you loved L.A. Candy also, I hardly hear anyone talking about that series 🙂 The Fame Game is kind of meh honestly, the first one was ok but it didn’t have that same funness that L.A. Candy had. I love Lauren Conrad also, she is just awesome 🙂
