Top Ten Tuesday

When I was making this list, I really was shocked that I have only read one book by these authors! I definitely need to get on this because a lot of these books have been on my TBR for some time now.

Jennifer L Armentrout
I have so many of JLA’s books but I still have yet to pick them up! It’s rare that I have heard anything bad about her books, only raves so I don’t know what I am waiting for! I’m hoping to pick up Don’t Look Back soon, as it’s been on my TBR since the Spring!

Rainbow Rowell
Fangirl was one of my favorite books I read last year so much so that I want to go for a reread! I’ve heard fabulous things about Attachments and Landline sounds awesome… I need to get on these two!

Megan Miranda
I really liked Hysteria, and Megan Miranda’s writing. Fracture sounds amazing and so does it’s sequel!

Hannah Jayne
I really, really liked Hannah Jayne’s writing. Truly, Madly, Deadly was a thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat and her other two books sound just as fantastic.

Abbi Glines
I quite enjoyed The Vincent Boys so I have no idea why I haven’t picked up the companion: The Vincent Brothers. Not to mention one of her other series, considering I have a few of these on my Kindle :/

Gayle Forman
I’ll admit, Sisters in Sanity didn’t wow me like I expected it to after all of the raves about Gayle Forman. That being said, If I Stay sounds SOOO good and I really enjoyed Forman’s writing despite not being grabbed by the first story.

Tarryn Fisher
I ADORED The Opportunist, I absolutely loved Tarryn Fisher’s writing and her ability to weave a twisted story. I need to read the next two books in the series AND her newest, Mud Vein.

Suzanne Young
A Need so Beautiful got me, right in the core because it was so amazing. I definitely want to read the sequel and her newest series, The Program!

Kimberly Derting
Although The Taking was about aliens, I really enjoyed the story and I’ve been told that her Pledge series is even better!

Aimee Carter
I really, really enjoyed Pawn. I was bored from the recent Dystopians that I read but Pawn really did the trick for me so I will definitely be contiuing the series. The Goddess Test is mythology… and that is definitely a new(ish) favorite of mine 🙂

And that’s my list! Which authors do you need to read more from? Link up!

  1. Ohh you MUST read more from JLA! She’s one of my absolute favorite authors!! And I also loved landline and attachments! I actually haven’t read fangirl yet! Tarryn Fisher’s series!! Eee! While I almost disliked the opportunist, I progressively liked each successive book in her series more! Thief was SO good!!

    • Gosh, I know it’s soo sad that I haven’t read more JLA. And it’s so strange because i read one of her lesser talked about books that was only “meh” for me. I just KNOW I will love her paranormal series though. Oh wow, I’m glad to know that the series gets even better!! (Tarryn Fisher I mean haha) I have heard great things 🙂

    • I lovedddd Fangirl, and I expected to not like it haha. Eleanor & Park scares me because of the hype but I’m definitely drawn towards her two adult books!!

    • Unfortunately I’m not sure if I will ever read Eleanor & park 🙁 It just doesn’t seem like one I’m super interested in and lately hype has been ruining things for me I fear so I’ve been steering clear. YES I’m glad you the Pawn series, I thought it was such a breath of fresh air in the dystopia genre lately and I cannot wait till the sequel comes out 🙂

  2. GIRL. You need to read ATTACHMENTS and JUST ONE DAY like right now. I liked Landline, but I loved Attachments. I also enjoyed If I Stay/Where She Went, but not with the same epic levels of love that I have for Just One Day/Just One Night. So, so good!

    • The so sad part about this is that I have an egalley of Attachments from a couple of months ago when it was put on Netgalley, and I STILL haven’t read it :/ EEK, I’m so excited to know that you loved Just One Day… for some reason I feel like this one isn’t as popular as If I Stay, or maybe I just haven’t paid that much attention but I feel like I have heard NOTHING about it compared to if I Stay!!! I need to crack down on this TBR haha

  3. Awesome list! SO many books that are on my to read list as well. Rainbow Rowell is one of my favorites, I would say go with Attachments first. As for JLA I just started reading her books and am really enjoying her other books so far. I started with Don’t Look Back, which I really liked!

  4. Melissa @ Writer Grrl Reads

Definitely Attachments! It’s my favourite of her novels. I read Fracture way back when and loved it, but I didn’t know there was a sequel! I haven’t read any JLA novels, but I have Half-Blood on my shelves. Maybe if we have success with Throne of Glass, we can tackle another series together 🙂
