Top Ten Authors I’d Put On My Auto buy List

Oh, this was hard to narrow down. Almost every time I read a book by an author I continue to buy their future books, unless they are like middle grade or children’s book. Here’s what I’ve narrowed it down to:

Lisa Scottoline Lauren Oliver J K Rowling Colleen Hoover Katie McGarry

1. Lisa Scottoline • I love everything that she writes. Seriously. Doesn’t even matter what it is.
2. Lauren Oliver • Same goes for this missus. Even if it’s hit or miss, or MG… it’s mind!
3. J.K Rowling • I bought Casual Vacancy and still haven’t read it. Not sure if I ever will… I read about 25 pages and put it down. Doesn’t matter… she is a goddess.
4. Colleen Hoover • I read one book by her(Hopeless) and bought all of her others. Amazing writer!
5. Katie McGarry • I will buy anything she writes. It could be a newspaper article, lol. I will always be searching for what Pushing the Limits gave me.

Suzanne Young Kate Morton Sophie Kinsella Kelley Armstrong Lauren Weisberger

6. Suzanne Young • I love her writing. Doesn’t matter what genre, I’ll buy it!
7. Kate Morton • This lovely makes me buy historical fiction over and over… I have never rated her books under 5 stars. Amazing!
8. Sophie Kinsella/Madeline Wickham • Her books are so fun, whether it’s under her pen name or real name!
9. Kelley Armstrong • I’m not sure if I will ever get to read ALL of her books, but I love everything she writes.
10. Lauren Weisberger • Also such fun books to read. I’ve loved everything she wrote.

And there we have it! Honestly there are so many more authors but these 100% I will buy anything they write. Normally without reading the summary 😛

What are your picks this week?

Lauren

  1. Oh, I do love Katie McGarry. So much. Pushing the Limits is one of my favorite books ever and I can’t wait to read more from her. Also, interacting with her on twitter is one of the highlights of my life so that of course makes her even more awesome, if that’s possible.

  2. You should read The Casual Vacancy, it took me longer to read but definitely worth it!! I’m a huge potter fan and was not disappointed!! Also Lauren Oliver….AMAZING! Absolutely adore her books!

    • I am thinking about picking it up soon… I hate when I start a book and it’s just sitting there unread, lol. Plus I know it can’t be awful… she is an awesome writer 🙂 Thanks Morgan, for stopping by!

  3. Haha, I am with you on JKR. I ADORE HER beyond words and have a copy of The Casual Vacancy… but I haven’t yet read it. Unlike you though, I haven’t even cracked it open because I’M SO SCARED. I don’t really feel the need to read it yet though, you know what I mean? Probably (hopefully?) someday! Lauren Oliver made my list too (love <3) but Kelley Armstrong is a great one too! I haven't read any of her adult stuff but I'd like to eventually. Great list, Lauren, and great to meet you! 🙂

  4. I haven’t read most of these authors, although I love J.K. Rowling. Well, HP anyway — I’m not going near CASUAL VACANCY. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that she writes some more MG/YA books.

Glad to have found you via TTT!
