February Wrap Up

February Wrap Up

It’s March!! I’m quite a bit late on this wrap up, and absent from my blog this last week, because I was sick the past week (ish) and spent the majority of my time not working, sleeping! I’m on the mend now after another, much-needed, lazy weekend so I’m back in business!

February seriously flew by for me. I can’t even recall anything that happened because it just seemed like it was GONE! I can’t believe it’s March already, and the spring is nearly upon us. I know I am the complete opposite of everyone when it comes to this, but I absolutely detest the spring and summer. I’m not looking forward to it :/ The Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons and I’m sad to see them go soon!

February was an amazing reading month! I read so many awesome books. Not only did I read a lot of physical books, but I’m totally obsessed with audio books right now. I started listening to them to make up for some ‘lost’ reading time while I was crocheting and I found myself trying to find other things to do when I wasn’t crocheting so I could listen to the audiobooks! I’ve been listening while I’m cleaning and organizing, on the GO Train to work… any spare time I can find and I’m loving them! If anyone has a recommendation for good audiobooks, I’ll gladly take them 🙂

Challenges
*More information on the individual challenge pages – title links to challenge progress.

Goodreads Challenge: 17/100. Going into March, I was 2 books ahead! This never happened in 2014, so I am keeping my promise of staying on track/ahead. I read 9 books in total for February so here’s to hoping for a good March as well!

2015 Debut Author Challenge: 2/12. I finished another debut for February: Red Queen. I’m not sure if I will be reading one for March, but there are a few months ahead where I will be reading several in a month so I’m not too worried.

2015 TBR Pile Challenge: 5/20. I read 4 more books from my TBR in February! That’s more progress than I had in a year 🙂 I’m really loving my TBR pile lately, so I’m sure this will continue into March!

Fairytale Challenge: 0/4. Didn’t get to any fairy tales again in February, but it’s totally fine because I hadn’t planned to.

The Re-Read Challenge: 0/10. I started a reread in February but got sidetracked. I am planning on rereading two this month that I can think of though.

2015 Prequel and Sequel Challenge: 24 points/76 points. I read 5 more books that counted towards this challenge, and actually completed a series! I’ve been really loving binge reading this past little bit so I intend to do it for a few more series as well!

Flights of Fantasy Challenge: 4/15. I read 3 more fantasy books in February. I am all about the fantasy lately and am currently reading Heir of Fire as well. I estimate that I will have this challenge long completed by the middle of the year! Funny how I started this challenge to get me to read more fantasy, but it’s actually all I want to read 😛

Book Blogger Organization Challenge: I definitely could have done better in February. I hardly got any blog things done, but I plan to do all the February tasks in March because I NEED to do them anyway! I’ve already started on the March tasks to get them done, so hopefully I will have lots of progress by the end of the month.

2015 Discussion Challenge: 1/12. I didn’t post a discussion in February. I had planned on it, but blogging sucked for me in February. I just wasn’t feeling anything I was writing and that’s not the way to post something! Already have a few things brewing for March though!

Notable Posts & Events

In addition to the books I read and reviewed in February, I also posted by my review for Never Never by Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher. This book was WILD and ended on such a cliffhanger! Needless to say, I will be preordering part two for release day, because I need to know right NOW what happened! I also reviewed The Young Elites by Marie Lu. I absolutely LOVED this book and cannot wait for the second one.

I posted two Top Ten Tuesday topics, Ten Book Related Problems I Have and Top Ten Books I Can’t Believe I Haven’t Read from the Paranormal Genre.

I participated in the 2015 Book Blogger Love-A-Thon, which was hosted by the lovely Alexa at Alexa Loves Books. I didn’t post for all of the challenges, but I did have my Introduction, posted my bookish snapshots and my picks for ‘High Five’! It was such a fun event and I discovered a lot of awesome blogs!

Obviously I got some new books in February so I shared those here and here.

I also took part in the 2nd Annual Love for Books Readathon, hosted by Novel Heartbeat! I read SO much and was so happy with my progress!

Some Blog Love
I wasn’t the greatest with keeping up with blog posts in February. I got terribly behind in my Feedly, and just this past weekend I’ve started to get it in order. Blog Love will be back for the March wrap up and include some of the February links I’ve loved a lot!

How was your February? What books did you read?! Link up!

  1. Wow, you read so many books! I read Throne of Glass and I am looking forward to Crown of Midnight. I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I really want to read Red Queen and Snow Like Ashes (even though you didn’t love them). I’m curious to see what my thoughts would be of them. Overall, I’m glad to see you had a productive month! Hopefully in March you will find the same (if not, more) success this month. 🙂
