I have a lot of goals for 2015. Overall though I just want my blogging and reading to better, and this includes challenges! I chose carefully this year and goals that I know that I can achieve so here they are…

I am SO excited to participate in this challenge. Re-reading is actually one of my overall main goals for 2015. I miss re-reading so much, and much like a lot of bloggers, I’ve put it aside since starting blogging for the newest and hottest releases. I am going to be making a huge effort to ensure that I re-read more, and in turn complete this challenge!
I’m hoping to read a minimum of 10. It’s less than a book a month, but it’s enough that I will feel satisfied at the end of the year having gotten back in the re-reading groove!
I am going to be flying by the seat of my pants for the most part but a few that I would definitely like to reread are: Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, The Distance Between Us by Kasie West and Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell! I have been wanting to do a reread of these four specifically for some time so I can’t wait to dive into these stories again.

I want to broaden my reading a bit in 2015, and fairytales and retellings are always something that I have been interested in so this is perfect! Last year I always picked a really tough level and something that was unachievable for me so this year I’m scaling back quite a bit so I’m starting low for this challenge. I’m aiming for Prince Charming: 1 – 4 books. It’s the first level, but I hope to at least read 4. Obviously if I get higher than that, it’s only a win but I want to make sure that this is something that I CAN do, but is still out of my comfort zone.

This will be my second year participating in this challenge, and I’m really excited to do it again! I was actually really good with this challenge last year, and might have even completed it but I sucked at keeping track. This year, I’m going to change that and ensure that I do keep track! Series are another of my main focuses this year so I know I will be able to achieve my goal of 76-100 points: Professional.

This was another challenge that I failed on in 2014 and probably the one I regret not completing the most. I LOVE reading debut authors and discovering new authors to fall in love with. The first year I participated, in 2013, I flew through the books and discovered so many amazing authors. I need to get back to that so this year I am aiming to complete the bare minimum of 12. And I will!

Haha, I can only laugh at horrible I was at reading my own bookshelf in 2014 and I am definitely changing that in 2015! I am aiming for the 11-20 A Friendly Hug level! I hope to read 20 books, which is less than 2 a month. Gosh, if I can’t complete this I have no hope of ever clearing my TBR 😛

I am tremendously excited for this challenge! I have really started to get into fantasy, and not just the fantasy that I have loved in the past (Harry Potter) but more advanced worlds, high fantasy and things that I didn’t enough have a slight interest in before! I can honestly say that fantasy, all of the genres, are one of my absolute favorites now! I am aiming to read 15 books. I first thought 10 but I can name at least 6 that I am going to read in the first quarter of the year so I knew that wasn’t enough of a challenge for me, so 15 it is! I am so pumped to read all the fantasy books in 2015!!

I think this is a great idea for a challenge and I am thrilled to be participating! Discussion posts are another of my goals for 2015, so I had to join up for this challenge to hold myself accountable every month. I’m aiming for 1-12 – Discussion Dabbler. I’m hoping to get at least one discussion posted every month!

This couldn’t have come at a better time. As much as I am an organized person my nature, and feel like I am in complete chaos if everything around me isn’t just so, my blog is fell into a disaster state in the last year. I don’t know what happened but… ah. I need this challenge, and I am so pumped for it, and I am going to do all the things 🙂
Phew. There. So there they are. It might seem like I am throwing caution to the wind and joining too much but I can’t NOT participate in challenges, they are just something that I love, so I have given myself achievable goals but still ones that push me.
What are you participating in this year? Link up!
Yeay, don’t forget to add this link to my link-up master post so everyone can find out about it 🙂 I hope you can read at least 4 of them and if you need recommendations, just shout my name somewhere! I’m also doing the re-read challenge, Flights of fantasy & TBR pile, so we’ll see each other around 😀
I added it 🙂 OMG, I will most likely be asking for recommendations Mel! I do have a few in mind that I really want to read but I’m also just going to mood read it out a bit. I started making a list last night and it seems like I might have put my expectations a little bit too low! After checking out your list on Goodreads, there are WAY more books that are fairytales than I even thought 😛 I’ll keep it at four at first though lol.
I haven’t signed up for any. . .YET! I’m a little behind on the get go. I definitely want to organize my blog though. It’s pretty all over the place.
Jackie~
Oh, I totally get that Jackie. Mine is all over the place also.
I was a little behind as well, it seems compared to everyone else but slowly getting everything together 🙂
I’m participating in a bunch of these as well! And Lauren, I am totally with you – I can’t NOT participate in challenges. They’re so much fun for me and since I employ a do as much as I can mindset, it’s not stressful for me because I’m not forcing myself to stick to a goal or expecting that I’ll complete it. Maybe it’s a bad way to get into the challenges but I’m almost expecting not to reach my goals and weird as it may sound, that actually helps me enjoy participating in challenges.
Anyway good luck with all of your challenges and I just added the discussion challenge to my horde of 2015 ones! 🙂
I think that’s a good method Annie! It makes it seem like it’s not something that’s mandatory and then it almost always is more fun 🙂 I kind of work like that too for some things 😛
Oh the discussion one is fun! I only posted one discussion in January but the link up has SOOO many awesome discussions to read, I still haven’t gotten through them all!
YAYYYYYY! I’m so glad you’ve joined The Re-Read Challenge, and I LOVE the books you’re hoping to re-read. I hope you get to re-read them all 🙂
I’ve never really been a challenge person, but I feel like someone has overtaken my brain this year. I think I’ve joined six. WHATTTTT? I’m not super competitive and won’t care if I don’t succeed at them, so I didn’t worry too much about joining that many because I know I won’t be stressed about them. But I do hope that we both rock all the challenges we’ve joined!
I’m so excited your HOSTING a reread challenge 🙂 I’ve been wanting to reread SOOO much and this gives me the added boost. There are so many old favorites that I need to revisit, and it’s kind of a shame that blogging has taken me away from rereading. Before I started blogging I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up a book of my shelves and reread it, I think I’ve read some of them over 20 times!
I hope you rock your challenges too Hannah, six that’s awesome! I’m not super competitive either with challenges but I like to do listy things and reading certain books falls into that category haha.
