How does blogging affect your *real* life? Are friends and family supportive? Do you find that blogging cuts into family time? How do you strike a balance between the two?
Hmmm… does blogging affect my real life? Well it depends on how you look at it. It does take up a ton of my time, from things that I could otherwise be doing such as cleaning, organizing and general house duties but it’s something I enjoy so I don’t look at it as a negative thing. I still get my regular things done but I may push them aside longer due to wanting to blog 🙂 My friends and family are supportive. Quite a few close friends and family members are aware that I blog and most of them think it’s great.
Blogging for me doesn’t cut into family time. Honestly if this wasn’t my hobby something else would be. My boyfriend is actually happy that I have a hobby that I enjoy.
I’m not really sure how I explain how I strike a balance. Both BF and I just “decide” when we will be doing our own separate things or doing something together. We don’t have children yet so honestly there isn’t much time to split. It’s either “us” time or “ourselves” time… it’s very easy to compromise 🙂
What about everyone else? I’m interested to see everyone’s answers. Since Nick and I don’t have any family where we live it is literally just us so it doesn’t affect my family time but I’m intrigued to see what people with children, bigger families, etc… do to manage their blogging time!
Link up please 🙂
Happy Reading!

I don’t have kids either and I think that makes a big difference. I admire the moms out there who blog. I can’t imagine how they find time to do everything.
My husband is super supportive too so we’re two lucky girls!
I totally agree that we are lucky Karen 😀
I do try to balance the blogging with real life and with kids. My dh knows about the blog but I want to do more things besides blog 🙂 Mondays are my days for writing reviews and doing blog stuff …other times is family stuff.
That’s great you have a specific blog day! I’d love to TRY and do that.. but I know that I wouldn’t 😉 Once we have children I’m sure I will have no problem though!
My husband and I are the same way – we kind of know when to do our own thing. I’m so glad I don’t have kids or I don’t think I could blog!
I’m not sure I would be a great blogger if I had children :S I always jump into things with two feet… no matter what it is lol. I enjoying blogging ALOT as it is… I find that is what makes it fun for me.
I don’t have children either, so I’m sure there is something to that…being able to devote time to blogging. I admire that people with children can do this. I don’t know that I’d be able to. My husband and friends/family are very supportive of my blogging. They think it’s “cool” although I know none of them have visited my blog. Which is okay too!
I’m glad you found the balance in book blogging. It’s not an obligation. It’s great your friends and family are s supportive.
