Tell us a little bit about yourself – Where are you from? What’s your favorite genre? What got you reading? – Be creative and show your individual personality!
Well I’m FROM Nova Scotia, Canada but currently living in Toronto, Canada. My favorite genre is YA, specifically paranormal romance but I’m also recently loving YA contemporary as well as New Adult contemporary. I’m not sure what got me reading, apparently I’ve been reading before I even remember. My parents are constantly reminding me that from the second I could get a hold of a book I had one in my hands. Apparently(and there is pictures to back this up :P) I used to take all my books into my crib/bed with me at night. When my parents would get up in the morning I’d be wind awake minding my own business, reading away! So I guess I was just born to read, lol.
We’d also like to know – What are your goals for this read-a-thon?
My goals are just to read. Lately I’ve been struggling with getting it done because I’ve been overwhelmed. I also started running in the month of June and read the least amount so far this year. I’d ideally like to read/listen to 4 books but we will see! I’m not setting an exact number because that has always been my downfall in the past. I have a TON of books to choose from, mainly library and review books so I won’t run out that’s for sure!

Book Shimmies!:
I have completed 4 total books so far! When I started I had Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone audio book about 3/4 completed as well as Heist Society about halfway done. I finished both of those the first day of the read-a-thon because it was Canada Day and I spent the day relaxing 🙂 I also finished Saving Ben on Tuesday which I had started Monday evening. Last night I finished The Ruining and this morning I started Imaginary Girls. I haven’t read a lot today because I had a terrible sleep last night so I had a super “power nap” when I got home from work! I am super pleased with my progress! This is actually the furthest ahead I’ve ever been on a read a thon so apparently my theory worked! I shouldn’t set a goal! Tomorrow I plan to get a ton of reading done because I anticipate a lovely rainy lazy day 😛 I’d ideally like to finish at least 2 more books but we will see! No plans, no plans! Oh, I don’t know how well I will make out with the 24 hour marathon… we will see…
