I am so amazingly excited for this read-a-thon! I LOVE Christmas, winter, ALL of it and especially Christmas themed books. I start preparing for Christmas directly after Halloween finishes and this is the perfect event to put me even more in the spirit! There are going to be challenges, giveaways… if you want to join click the links above 🙂
I am actually not going to give myself certain books that I will be picking from, I have done that in read-a-thons in the past and it has actually backfired so I have a few Christmas reads on hand as well as a ton available at my library via Overdrive so I’m just going to read what sounds good 🙂
I am aiming to finish at least 2 holiday books… I’m trying to finish up 2 books that I’m in the middle of before starting so I probably won’t make any progress until Saturday. I’ll also be updating my progress on this same post throughout the week !!
What are you planning on reading for the read-a-thon? Any suggestions for great reads?
I think this is pretty good for a holiday read…seen it on goodread and it’s apparently rated pretty high :p. “The History of the snowman: From Ice age to the flea market by Bob Eckstein” It’s a quick-fact reading sort of book, really funny and light. I read it last last Christmas at some boring family dinner and laughed my head off. A bit old though, since it’s published in 2007.
Maybe you’ve even read it before, but if u didn’t, sure to check it out!

I hope the read-a-thon is going well for you. I am still busy trying to finish everything! 🙂
Thanks Pamela 🙂 It went ok, I got one book finished… not the two that I hoped but the one I read was funny and a relaxing read! How did you do?
It went well. I finished up all of my goals, but it was down to the wire.
