Top Ten Favorite New-to-Me Author’s I’ve Read in 2012
Oh my! Again with one of these topics where it’s so hard to narrow down, lol. I’m done with being a cheater… I’m gonna pick just ten this time! Since I only really starting reading YA in 2012, most authors from the Young Adult genre are new to me. I also didn’t really read paranormal as well, and now I love it so I’ve found a lot of new authors as well! Well I’ll try… 😛
1. Lauren Oliver
2. Richelle Mead
3. Cassandra Clare
4. Becca Fitzpatrick
5. J.L Bryan
6 . Lesley Livingston
7. Deborah Harkness
8. James Dashner
9. Veronica Roth
10. Tammara Webber
I can’t believe that in April I stumbled upon Goodreads randomly(and it still amazes me that I was oblivious to this before) and discovered the book blogging community… if it wasn’t for that, I would never have found these amazing authors 🙂
Some of the authors I have yet to read all their books but I know I’m going to love them. J.L Bryan was especially one of my absolute favorites from this year. Before blogging I had no idea that you could even self publish your book(I really do live in a bubble, haha) so I doubt I would have discovered him otherwise.
Who were your favorite “new-to-me” authors?
Also this will be my last Top Ten until the new year! I have other things scheduled(recap posts, etc…) so see ya in 2013 🙂
Happy Reading!
xo Lauren
Great great list!! I’ve read a bunch of these and yet some of them are still new to me yet! I’ll be checking them out for sure! Tammara Webber made my list this year though!

Oh you really have to Alice – she is a beautiful writer! Even aside from the Delirium series, her standalone was beautifully written as well 🙂
Thanks for stopping in!
Interesting list! I love Mead, Roth, Clare, Dashner and Oliver – actually reading Pandemonium now.
OH I can’t wait to see what you thought of Pandemonium! That’s one of my favorite series 🙂
