Top Ten Books I Resolve to Read in 2013
There are so many books I absolutely NEED to read in 2013 that I pushed aside in 2012. It’s astonishing how many books I have let pile up all over the place and not given a second glance yet to read them. After I clean out my Netgalley & Edelweiss I am going to hold off requesting for a while… I need to get back to the beauties I own and focus on loving them a bit 😉
If I Stay by Gayle Forman
The Duff by Kody Keplinger
Hate List by Jennifer Brown
Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Bitten by Kelley Armstrong
Torment by Lauren Kate
Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston
And let’s keep in mind that these are only from my TBR… if I had to put down books that I want to read but don’t even own yet… that’s a whole different game, lol. I have a variety here… ones where series are already finished, some of them are the first book(so I’d really like to get them done asap), stand-alones and some still have books left to be released.
These are also physical books. I have a TON of ebooks that I haven’t even touched on yet… but it’s the physical books that I really have a problem with lol.
Happy Reading!
xo Lauren
I cried buckets reading Where She Went (If I Stay’s sequel). It’s so worth it.
I’ve heard absolutely nothing but good things about her books… I’m dying to hop into that one!!
Thanks for stopping by & Happy New Year 🙂
I keep hearing SO much about Gone Girl. I want to try it, but I’m worried it won’t live up to the hype.
Good luck with your list this year!!
That’s always a big fear of mine… especially with adult books because I’m partial to Young Adult books and find the pick up the pace early into the story where as adult books can take a little while to get into! Here’s to hoping though 🙂
Happy New Year 😀
This is so funny. I have seen Cinder on almost every TTT post today. I am reading it right now, and I love it. I never read anything even remotely science fiction, but decided to give Cinder a chance. So glad I did. it’s amazing.
Happy New Year!
Lmao… I know it’s on SO many lists. Which actually makes me feel better because I was so closed to being convinced that everyone had read it… because it SEEMED like that haha. I hardly read Sci Fi either so I’m glad to hear from another non sci fiction reader that it’s good… might make me stop putting it off 😉
Happy New Year Quinn!
If I Stay is incredible. I definitely recommend that one. The rest I’m ding to read as well.
Happy New Years and happy reading!
Here are the books I resolve to read
~Danica Page
Taking it One Page at a Time
Thanks Danica! I think I actually might start it today because of the comments, lol.
Happy New Year 🙂
I have Gone Girl on request from my library, but I’m something like 197th in the queue, ha, so it will be a while before it gets to me.
And I loved Wondrous Strange! I really want to read the other two books in the series, but have too many library books currently out, so they’ll have to wait a little while longer. But Wondrous Strange has a place on my all-time favorite list for sure.
And I have the paperback version of Cinder pre-ordered from Amazon because it’s one of those that I really feel I need to read. Maybe we can read it at the same time and keep each other on track?
Happy New Year, Lauren! 🙂
OMG! 197th :S That is a long wait 🙁
I can’t wait to read more Lesley Livingston! I read Starling which is apparently a spin off of the Wondrous Strange trilogy(so I did that backwards, lol) but I really enjoyed it and I hear that Fenrys is from WS !! Yayyy!!
I would love to read Cinder together! I won’t be able to get to it until February(I went tooooo overboard with Jan releases on Edelweiss… tisk, lol) but if you aren’t reading it immediately I def would like to! It’s much easier to keep on track with someone else, lol.
Happy New Year to you too Merin!!!
February would be totally fine. I have plenty to read in the meantime, including several of my own January releases. It’s a plan! 🙂
Yay 🙂 We’ll touch base in Feb to get it all lined up !! I’m so excited to read it with someone… I feel like there is no one left to share the excitement with since most people have read it, haha.
There is some really great choices here! I am a big fan of TMI series, so was eager but apprehensive about reading the Infernal Devices series. I was really glad I did and I’m sure you will love Clockwork Angel as much as a I did. 🙂
Happy New Year! 😀
Thanks Jennifer! I can’t wait to get started… ideally I’d like to have both finished by the time Clockwork Princess comes out, lol…. but we will see :S
