Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Bahaha. And the ban is broken. Ah well, I gave it a good go. And honestly I think this is probably the last time I will purchase before Christmas.  The only reason I did was there was some amazing bargain books that I couldn’t pass up. $5.00 for hardbacks that I would be buying anyway at $20 a pop? Yah… I’ll choose bargain books, lol. I did a lot of Christmas shopping this week… I loveeeee Christmas shopping 🙂 The actual event of it is kind of stressful, especially in Toronto because it’s sooooo busy, but I love getting everything home and wrapping it up 🙂

It was a pretty good haul in… and besides this I picked up about 10 other books for other people 🙂 Also I almost laughed to death when I got this from my sister… we both have an extremely dry sense of humor and love cats, perfect 😉
What did everyone get this week? Please comment with your book hauls!!

Happy Reading!

    • I’m interested to see how this is going to be also! I like that she look a part in it, sometimes I don’t like the companion books written by authors that didn’t write the original series.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    • Thanks Jenni! I would think you need a lot of self restraint to resist the bargain books at Indigo, haha. I am not that person. I will be checking over for your review of Possess 🙂

    • I haven’t read Halo either lol, although I do own it but I couldn’t miss the chance to get the second book while it was on bargain!

      Thanks for stopping in 🙂

  1. Hey, you did pretty well with the ban! And how can anyone be expected to ignore awesome book bargains? Have to admit that I’m more than intrigued by How To Tell If Your Cat is Plotting to Kill You. I may have to buy that one for the title alone! Happy reading!

    • Lol.. it was the longest I did go on a ban so I guess it was pretty good, haha. I don’t think anyone should be expected to pass up bargain books!! lol. Honestly, the cat book is hilarious. If you are a cat lover, you will really get the humor behind it. It’s worth a check out… just for the laugh if anything!

Thanks for dropping in Alexia 🙂

    • The cat book is HILARIOUS Merin, lol.
I had only just heard of Possess too, but it seems like she holds true to the creepish nature of her novels! The cover is scary(but marvelous) lol.

      Thanks for stopping in!

  2. Love the haul, Lauren!! I’ve been meaing to start sookie stackhouse, but there is just so many books in the damn series, that i dont really feel like getting myself all tangled up in that….
but “how to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you” is HILARIOUS! I work at Indigos book store, and we sell at least 10 copies a day. it’s crazy!

btw you should do a read-along with me for code name verity :p

    • Thanks Rola!!! I was reluctant with the Sookie series too but I decided to pick up the first one and actually really liked it! Plus the mass market “true blood” editions are perfect size for reading on the train to work, especially if I have to stand 😛

I haven’t sat down and read the cat book fully yet but the parts I did…. hilarious! JEALOUSSSS that you work at Indigo… although I’m not sure if I would not much “work”… they would find me off in the stacks somewhere neglecting my duties, lol.

We should do a Code Name Verity read along! When do you plan on starting?! I was going to pick it up this weekend!!!

    • Thanks so much for stopping in 🙂 I can’t wait to start on Possess… this will be my first Gretchen McNeil book and I heard her books are awesome!!!
