Stacking the Shelves
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you showcase all of the books you received for the week, whether it be physical or electronic books!

Hi 😀 It’s May 2-4 weekend!!! I am sooo excited for this much-needed long weekend. We don’t really have a lot of plans… I plan on doing quite a bit of Zumba since I just started as we will probably go to the park. BF will be going to play baseball but I will be going to read in the fresh air 😛 I also feel the beginnings of a cold coming on; drat. It feels like whenever there is a long weekend my body feels the need to get sick, lol.

I didn’t pick up a lot of books this week and not because I didn’t want to. Chapters Indigo is irritating me more and more every week. They hardly ever have the new releases out and on shelves on Tuesdays and sometimes they don’t get them at all. I’m on the hunt for a smaller bookstore in the city.

Physical Books*gasp* NONE THIS WEEK!!!

This is What Happy Looks Like I picked up for the Spring Into Summer readalong, I actually wanted this in hardcopy because I really love the cover but lo and behold I couldn’t find it anywhere so I had no choice but to get the e-book. I also picked up The Selection and Smart Girls get What they Want because they were on for an e-book deal. Yayyyy sale books 😀

I was quite excited to get approved for This Girl! I didn’t want to purchase the e-book as I will most definitely be getting the hardcopy so I was pumped to get this from Atria this week 😀 I also am excited to read Freshman Forty for a tour.. I think the plot sounds interesting and I love books about pregnancy.

So that’s all folks. No link love this week… I need to get a better system on the go. I realized I hadn’t saved any of the posts I loved this week. Fiddlesticks 😛

What did you get this week?? Link up please!!

Happy Reading!

  1. The Selection is pretty good! I enjoyed it (for the most part). I’ve never read anything by Jennifer E. Smith, but I’ve heard that her first book was really good. Colleen Hoover! She’s awesome. Hope you enjoy all of those! 😀

    Have a great weekend!

    Check out my STS post!

    • Thanks Alyssa! I love Colleen Hoover is well so I’m pumped to read this one 😀 This is also my first Jennifer E. Smith book and it’s definitely a light, cute read.

  2. I almost bought This Is What Happy Looks Like this week but had to pass it up for one that I can’t seem to find ANYWHERE! I’m reading Smart Girls Get What They Want at the moment and it’s super cute! Happy reading! My Haul

    • Oh thanks Kristy! I’m glad to hear that Smart Girls is a good cute read. I think the theme of my haul this week must have been light, cute reads lol.

    • Thanks Katja! I’ve wanted to try out The Selection for awhile now. I’m over dystopians but this one seems like a lighter one so I wanted to try it and the discount pushed me too !!

  3. This is What Happy Looks Like sounds like the perfect summery read. I have high hopes for it. I hope you like the Selection. It’s a fun book. Happy reading!

Here’s my StS if you wanted to check it out 🙂

    • Thanks Lauren! I’m hoping to read The Selection for the summer months since it seems really fun. I’m reading Happy right now and it’s DEFINITELY a summer read!!

  4. Ohh, The Selection and This is What Happy Looks Like. Two books that I have heard great things about. I love it when books go on sale but I hate having to decide between e-books or hard copies. Happy reading and enjoy your books! 🙂

    Emz @ Icy Cold Reads

    • I hate deciding as well. I actually really wanted Happy in physical copy but I could not find it anywheres so I had to pick it up in ebook as it was review. I normally only by discount or less than 4 dollars ebooks because I end up buying a lot of them in hardcopy 🙁 It’s a battle haha. THanks for stopping by Emz!

  5. THE SELECTION!!! I finished reading that last week and it was SOO AMAZING! You’ll feel like you’re part of their world, and the characters were realistic. I hope you’ll love it as much as I did. 🙂 Happy reading!
