Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is  a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Favorite Young Adult Authors

So I am cheating a bit this week. The category is supposed to be in “x” genre but.. I don’t have enough favorite author’s in any sub genre of YA to get to ten so I have just decided to do Top Ten YA Author’s. I have really only consistently been reading young adult since May so I’m not as well read as other’s in this genre 😉 And these are in no particular order, I love them all !!

1. J.K Rowling – This shouldn’t be a shocker to anyone lol. Harry Potter is my favorite series, ever.

2. Lauren Oliver – I absolutely love, love, LOVE her writing. She is such an amazing author… the Delirium series is one of my favorite series to date.

3. Veronica Roth – Also love her writing style. Divergent & Insurgent just suck you right in.

4. Suzanne Collins – Hello!?! The Hunger Games is another favorite series, lol. And it’s actually what really pushed me towards YA!

5. Lesley Livingston – I love her mythology/fae stories. She is such a wonderful writer, and a wonderful person as well!

6. Richelle Mead – Vampire Academy is by far my favorite vampire series.

7. Cassandra Clare – It took me longer than most to jump on The Mortal Instruments bandwagon but I’m so glad I did. I really love her writing!

8. Becca Fitzpatrick – I really love the Hush, Hush Saga. I really hope she writes more books after Finale is published.

9. James Dashner – The best action writer, ever! I really didn’t expect to love The MazeRunner but James Dashner just has a way to make you enthralled in his stories.

10. Kelley Armstrong – Another Canadian author! She has approx 1 million books now, lol. I need to really buckle down and read all of them,  her books are amazingggg 🙂

Short & Sweet this week 🙂 What are your top ten picks??

Happy Reading

xo Lauren

  1. I am 100% with you on Lauren Oliver and Suzanne Collins (obviously). Actually, your entire list is fantastic. My seven year old is just now hitting the Harry Potter books. 🙂
